AcuDetox/NADA Ear (Auricular) Acupuncture Training with Juan Cortez and Masha Schmidt teaches the history, method, and application of the NADA protocol.
The NADA Protocol is practiced with the placement of 5 small acupuncture needles into specific points on the ear to help with stress reduction, detoxification, and improve healing. It can be easily practiced in settings designed to aid behavior health, disaster relief, and addiction support. This non verbal approach can be utilized anywhere that folks can come together in a room.

The training is 2 days of classroom instruction (including practice) followed by a clinical internship in which you have to complete 40 treatments. The 40 treatments can be completed based on your schedule, and can be completed either in NYC (East Harlem) or Beacon, NY.
NADA legislation varies by State. Please look up the scope of practice laws regarding NADA in your State.
COVID 19 safety protocols will be in place, masks will be worn throughout the training.

The total cost for the training is $600 which includes a take home starter kit and supervision for the 40 practice treatments.
To reserve your spot, we require a deposit of $150. Your final payment will be due on the first day of training, Saturday August 6th, 2022. We do have a few scholarships, send inquiries to masha@riveralchemy.com to apply.
This training does not guarantee ADS certification. To qualify for ADS certification, you will need to:
Complete the classroom training hours May 21 + 22
Complete 40 supervised practice treatments
Attend an addiction support group (for example an open 12 step group)
Become a member of AcuDetox and submit your signed application form
